Jesus

Don't Buy The Lie

The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.”

— Matt. 4:16

The devil is an idiot. If you keep blaming him for the bad happening in your life, you need to come to the realization that…he’s an idiot. He’s a one trick pony. Deception is his game and if you allow yourself to be manipulated and deceived, you will become his victim.

I was driving in the car over to our office thinking about the power and potency of the name of Jesus—when the Holy Spirit painted a picture in my mind. There was a person in a dark room. The devil kept whispering lies to this person and they inevitably felt hopeless and defeated. The devil continued to say things like “you’ll never be free” or “theres no way out of this”.  The more the lies, the darker the room got. BUT when the Word came in, that dark room lit up! What seemed to be chains were nothing at all. Where there was no way to get out of the room, a door appeared!

Ya’ll this is why people remain stuck! The devils deception will make you feel like it’s the end, but Jesus is the light (John 1:4) that brings you out of your despair! It might be dark but all you need is the light of God’s Word to help you see the way out! (Psalm 119:105)

Here is some light for the darkness in your life;

There will be no miscarriages or infertility in your land, and I will give you long, full lives. Exodus 23:26

You will be blessed above all the nations of the earth. None of your men or women will be childless, and all your livestock will bear young. Deut. 7:14

“For I am the Lord who heals you” Exodus 15:23

He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. Psalm 147:2

He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. But his wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:5

The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health. Psalm 41:3

Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.  He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Psalm 107:19-20

Jesus said to the woman, “You are now well because of your faith. May God give you peace! You are healed, and you will no longer be in pain.” Mark 5:34

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?” Ecc. 4:9

For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her.” Eph. 5:25

Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. Mark 10:9

and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me. Gen. 22:18

All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children. Isaiah 54:13

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Cor. 10-13

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. Deut. 28:12

Spoken Word

And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
— Luke 1:45

From the beginning God spoke a thing and realities were created. Before light there was a WORD. Before Abraham had decedents like the sand on the shores, there was a WORD. Before Israel’s victory in Jericho, there was a WORD. Before Mary gave birth to the savior, there was a WORD.

Before God does His supernatural work on the inside of you, you must follow His WORD. There are so many instances in the Bible where God did a work through one man or woman but it all began with a direct SPOKEN WORD.

If you find yourself not knowing where to go or what to do, you must make up your mind to get God’s spoken word. I don't care who says that it’s impossible to hear from God! YOU CAN! Our  whole faith is based on the fact that God communicated with man. It’s foolish to think that’s reserved only for Moses and Abraham! God can, in fact, He wants to talk to you! If you’re waiting for someone else to seek God’s will for your life, it aint gonna happen!

Throughout my years of travel the one vein of success I see in ministry is the Spoken Word. Someone got so desperate for God’s will and purpose for their life that they sought His voice. Jeremiah 29:13 says,“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” If we want to accomplish anything with certainty in this life, we must get a Spoken Word from God.

The Spoken Word of God always produces results! When you come face to face with God, there’s no doubting. When you hear God’s voice for your turnaround, there’s no worry. His Spoken Word produces the courage and tenacity you’ll need to see your dream come to pass. It doesn't matter if all hell comes against you, with God’s Spoken Word, you win 100% of the time.

Stay in the WORD but get so desperate for God to speak to YOU. Don’t make yourself a prayer project for your church, get a Word from Heaven! Kick out every frustration and get God’s Word for your situation. He will direct your paths and lead you in the way you should go, are you hungry enough to seek Him?

Trust With All Your Heart

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

— Prov. 3:5-6

There’s trusting in God and then there’s trusting in God with ALL your heart. As I meditated on this scripture one thing popped out — “with all your heart”. It’s not enough to put your trust in the Lord, you must do so with all your heart. There are parts of our lives that continue to be a struggle because we mentally assent the Word of God. It makes sense to our brains so we mentally agree with what the Word of God says but deep down in our hearts, there’s a glitch.

If we don't allow the Word of God to permeate the inner most part of our hearts, we will remain defeated. Look at Romans 10:9-10, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your HEART that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your HEART that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. “ When the Word of God is trusted (The Word is God!) with all your heart there’s an action that takes place! YOU SPEAK!! This is so important!

Loads of people declare the goodness of God on a Sunday morning and they barely make it past the church parking lot before saying something contrary it. If there’s no abundance of God's Word in you, there will be no abundance of God’s Word spoken from you. Through the Scriptures we understand how powerful the spoken word is. Words, backed with faith, created what you see and feel around you at this very moment. That same formula is in effect right now. When you speak, its backed up with faith or fear, and you get what you say! That’s why we can’t just agree with it mentally, we need the Word to take root in our hearts. Only then can we SPEAK forth truth that will manifest in our lives.

If you ever get frustrated because of what you’re seeing or not seeing, get more Word! Meditate on it and let it take root in your heart. Once it get’s in there, speak it out or you’ll stunt it’s growth!

Proverbs 4:23 says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Luke 6:45 also says, “The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.” Your faith or fear is put into action by the Words you speak. The Words you speak give way to the things you do. The things you do manifest the results in your life. If we want the Lord to lead us in the way we should go, we must believe with our whole hearts!

The Way You Should Go

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
— John 14:6

Have you ever asked yourself “What should I do?” or “Where do I go from here?” Millions of people are asking this same question. In fact, they've been asking it for years! Confusion never comes from God. 1 Corinthians 14:33 says, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” If you feel like you don't know where to go. I found the answer!

His name is Jesus! He said, “I am the way” you should go, “I am the truth” that sets you free, and “I am the life” you need to live a long satisfying life. Don’t you dare convince yourself that you don't know what to do or where to go. Declare yourself free from confusion. Jesus is all you need to walk in the way you should go. Psalm 32:8 says, “The LORD says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”

Thats why we must read the Word every day! In it lies the help you need to get out of the mess you’re in. His way, is the best way. His way, unlocks the truth that expels darkness—clearing the path you should walk in. His way, is the life your body needs to quicken everything that’s dead or dying! JESUS IS THE ANSWER!

How Can I Get Perfect Love?

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
— 1 John 4:8

God never identified Himself with love but He said He IS love. The kind of love we experience can change because we live in earthen vessels. God, never changes. The Bible says in James 1:17-18 “Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” There’s no darkness in God. He’s perfectly good. He’s perfectly light. He’s perfectly…love.

The Bible says in John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Here is another identification piece of God. The Word says God is His Word. When you pick up to read that Bible, you choose to spend time with God. When you spend time in God’s Word, you’ll begin to know Him. Some people are just God’s acquaintance. They’ve heard of Him but have never taken the time to know Him. When you know God, He’ll begin to show you intimate things about Himself that will totally transform your being. IT’S SO INTEGRAL TO READ YOUR WORD.

1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” I always questioned how perfect love could cast out fear. It seems right in my spirit but my head couldn't catch up with it. Hearing the Word is useless. When I was in the middle of an anxiety attack 1 John 4:18 would pop into my head but it didn't do anything to help my situation. As I read and heard anointed preaching this truth was enlightened in me!

God is His Word. God is Love. Perfect love banishes fear. Add that up together and you get the perfect recipe for getting rid of fear once and for all. The more you read God’s Word, the more you love, because the Word and love are ONE! They’re the same things in different forms. When you make a habit of listening to His Word, you choose to partake in that perfect Love!! How easy is that!?

Tripping Into Hell

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.
I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.
— 1 John 5:12-13

My sister and brother in law have a spiral staircase in their home. I can’t even count how many times I’ve fallen down those darn stairs. Even when I’m trying to be careful, my butt lands on the bottom floor. Can I tell you, I’ve never fallen down those stairs and landed on the top floor. There are people who will live their lives carefully and when they meet eternity will find themselves on the bottom floor. I’m talking about hell people!

Anyone in heaven will know they made a conscious decision to get there. They took the steps necessary to make it up to heaven. Sadly, a lot of people will be in hell by accident. Maybe they never heard the Gospel. Maybe they were too lazy to take salvation seriously. Maybe they thought “I’m a good person, God wouldn't send a good person to hell.” The devil's greatest success in America is lulling everyone to sleep. I’ve never seen so many people not care about eternity. We’ll have tangible miracles in our services and no one cares. Jon will give a call for salvation and people take it as their cue to leave the service! People just don't care!

Those people represent someone’s sister, brother, mom, dad, grandchild or friend. It’s a precious moment, a holy moment, and people just up and leave! We must do our part and tell people about Jesus. We need to sound the alarm and wake people up. Most Christians were once drowning in an ocean with no hope in life. Then they came in contact with a cruise liner. That cruise liner picked them up and place them on board. What do most Christians do after that? They go into the kitchen and grab some food, maybe even hit the hot tub. In the meantime, there are millions right outside of that boat sinking into eternal darkness.

The job of a Christian isn't to sit pretty on top of the cruise liner while people perish all around you. The job of every believer is to bring people onto the ship of salvation! There's enough space for everyone on this ship! So we must do everything we can to bring people on board!

If you've never accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, you cannot delay it any longer. If there was never a time you confessed Jesus as Lord of your life and believed in your heart that God raised Him up from the dead (to pay the penalty for your sins), you will go to hell (Romans 10:9)! I don't want you to go to hell and neither does God. So say this prayer out loud...

Heavenly Father, forgive me of my sins. I believe Jesus is Lord over my life. I believe you raised Him up from the dead to die for me! His death on the cross paid the penalty for my sins. I receive your forgiveness. I know I'm going to heaven! Thank you for the blood of your Son! Now, baptize me with your wonderful Holy Spirit, that I may never be the same again! In Jesus Name!

Welcome to the Family of God!

Can I overcome anxiety and worry for good?

Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you, Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all of your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about your watchfully.

— 1 Peter 5:6-7 AMP

Did you read that? Read and re-read the above scripture and meditate on it for a few minutes. Go ahead, I’ll wait. Did you see it? Once and for all! There is a way to live a life where every anxiety, every worry, and all which concerns you in life is banished ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Anxiety, worry, concerns, depression, those are all byproducts of fear. Once the revelation that you can live free from fear seeps in, the next step is casting your cares, ALL of your cares on God. There’s going to be moments when fear will try to strike you. It’s at that precise moment where you implement the Word of God.

When you cast something, you throw it away! The problem may still be there, the only difference is you're not the one holding it any longer! Don't go back and pick it up, leave it there! If you train yourself to never carry the burden the devil will throw at you, you will absolutely live a life free from anxiety, worry, and concern. You will live a life God intended for every believer to live because He cares for you watchfully!

You must do this kind of training on a daily basis. You can’t do it every now and again. To have maximized impact, it has to be done DAILY.

Pray like this,

Father this attack on my body, I give it to you. Your word says in James 4:7 that if I resist the devil he has to flee. I give this pain to you and refuse to worry about it one bit. Thank you for the blood of Jesus that made me whole. I receive your healing now! I refuse to worry or be anxious. I cast this care on you and refuse to pick it up! In Jesus name!

If it comes back, tell the pain to GO and refuse to linger or dwell on it for another moment. Then, continue to thank God for the healing He ’s already provided for you. Remember, God knows more about your care than you do. You don't have to convince Him to come through on your behalf, you simply obey His Word. That's what faith is! When you activate God's Word, the power of God will come behind you and erradicate every trace of sin and death.

Before you do any of this you have to humble yourself before God. Come to the realization that you need Him. You can’t do it alone. You’ve done all you can in your own power, now it’s time to let God take His place in your life. In Jesus name!

Why do we fear?

Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.
— Hebrews 2:14-15

Every bit of fear you face is drawn out of the fear of death. When a person fears a sickness or disease it's because they're afraid to die. When a person steals or sells drugs, their reason for doing it is usually to preserve their life. The biggest fear a heroin addict has, is the fear of death. Almost every reason behind fear stems from the fear of dying.

If you accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life, you have access to live a fear free life. Jesus, the Son of God, came down to earth and put on flesh and blood so that He could die! He was sent for one purpose and it was to DIE! In that death, however, He took back the keys of hell, death, and grave from Satan (Rev. 1:18). Three days later He rose back to life! WHY? Because death lost its power.

“Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is your victory?

O death, where is your sting?”

For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

-1 Cor. 15:55-57

The Bible says in James 1:15 "These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death." Jesus gave you the power to never sin a day in your life and through that power, the death sentence over your life is broken!

The next time fear comes knocking on your door, remind it of what Jesus did. The greatest victory ever afforded to the believer was the victory over death! So, FEAR NOT. That's a command!

You are God's masterpiece!

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
— Ephesians 2:10

I went to the Louvre Museum in Paris a few years ago. The moment you walk into the place your eyes are captivated by these giant pieces of artwork. They have all kinds of sculptures and pictures in there but the most notable is the Mona Lisa. I had to wait in line for this picture with anticipation. After seeing the most incredible wall to wall murals I knew this was going to be good! I was wrong.

There it was. The most notable piece of art in the world. And it was priceless. Ugly and small but priceless nonetheless.  What was all the fuss about? The chick didn't even contour her face for the picture!

If something so little and drab could be called a masterpiece, what are you and I?! The Bible says in Ephesians 2:10 that we are God's masterpiece, created to do the good things He's planned for us long ago. Stop and think about that!

God has created you to be a masterpiece so that He could show you off! He has a plan and purpose for you that are GOOD. He wants you to be that showpiece everyone talks about. The next time you look in the mirror say it out loud for your brain to capture. “I am God’s masterpiece!”

He doesn't want you strung out on heroin. He doesn't want you throwing up after each meal. He hates that demon in you that makes you want to cut yourself. Recognize your worth. You were created to be free from the oppression of the devil. You are destined for great things. If you think no one believes in you remind yourself of this scripture. God believes in you so much, He has planned good things for your life! You are priceless!

You cannot attain those great plans for your life without first accepting Jesus into your heart. In the same passage it says He created us anew in Christ Jesus so that we can fulfill those wonderful things He’s planned out for us. Accepting Jesus as your savior is the first step!

If you’ve never done that, say this prayer out loud!

Heavenly Father, forgive me of my sins.

I recognize my need for a savior.

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God.

I believe you died for my sins.

I believe that you were raised from the deadon the third day so that I could be free!

I accept your forgiveness right now!

Thank you for your sacrifice Jesus!

Now fill me with your Spirit, never to be the same again!

In Jesus name!

Is God mad at me?

What father among you, if his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; or if he asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him!
— Luke 11:11-13

There's a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to God. It's unfortunate because it's the misunderstanding that allows satan to attack. That's why it's so integral for God's people to understand the Word of God. When we understand who God is we can then come before Him boldly to ask what we want.

If you're constantly trying to convince God to come to your aid, there's a problem. If you think of God as a cruel King waiting to execute His power and wrath on His people, there's a problem. If you think God has poured out His anger in the form of sickness, poverty or misfortune, there's a problem. This scripture in Luke 11 doesn't depict how God is, it illustrates what God ISN'T!

He isn't a God who gives you the opposite of what you ask for. He's a loving God. So loving, in fact, that He makes the contrast of an earthly father. " If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him! "-Luke 11:13

The greatest love anyone has for you in this world will pale in comparison to the love God has for you. You don't have to tip-toe around God to ask Him for the things you need as though you were playing a game of Don't Wake The Dragon. He's not mad at you. He loves you!

Your prayers will go unanswered if you keep approaching God like that. Don't you know He gave all He had for you? Don't you know his wrath was satisfied when Jesus died on the cross? Don't you know how easy it is to access things through Jesus?! All you have to do is believe that you receive it (faith!) through the name of Jesus and it's yours

Did you have to plead with God to save you? Or did you just receive it? As easy as it was to access salvation through Jesus Christ is as easy as it is to receive healing, wholeness, and breakthrough! Remember, God is a good Father. He's not mad at you, so approach Him like you would want your own children to approach you when they need something...fear and doubt free!

More than a conqueror!

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
— Romans 8:37

How can you be more than a conqueror? You're either a conqueror or you're a loser, right? Wrong! We were on our way to Festival of Life Kensington when my husband began to play some preaching like he always does. We were listening to Brother R.W. Schambach when the revelation of "more than a conqueror" hit me.

He began to tell the story of two boxers.

The payout for the fight was massive and the winner would take a hefty check home. Round after round, punch after punch, the boxers were broken, bloody and bruised. The man who won the fight brought the check home with stitches under his eyes and a smile that would light up a whole room, a conqueror indeed. As soon as he entered the door his wife met him there and snagged that check right from his hands! They celebrated the victory but one of them was more than a conqueror. The wife holding the check, with her perfectly done makeup and hair, not one stitch or bruise on her body was the one who was MORE THAN A CONQUEROR.

She didn't have to get into that ring and take a beating, she simply received what belonged to her. That's exactly what Jesus did for you and I. He took a beating on His body so that we would be free from the burden of sin and everything that comes along with it. Everything that comes to steal, kill or destroy has already been conquered by Jesus. All we have to do is receive it.

It's that easy!

There's no need to battle with anything. Depression, fear, cancer, defeat, they've all been conquered by Jesus. Take what belongs to you RIGHT NOW! In Jesus name!

Oh Love Of God!

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
— Ephesians 3:17-19 NLT

The remedy to a broken and weak spirit is the acknowledgement of the love of God. If you've never taken the time to dwell on the love God has for you, I want you to start today. God couldn't bear the thought of spending eternity apart from you, so He gave His Only Son. Jesus died and put on himself the penalty for our sin. Sin is what separated us from God. Yet through His kindness, mercy, and LOVE, God came up with a plan to put us in right standing with Him.

Now we can call upon the name of Jesus to rescue us from all evil. By the death of Jesus, our ransom was paid. By the resurrection of Jesus, the penalty of sin can no longer hold us down. All of the things Jesus was sent to do began with a God whose love for humankind superseded His own well-being. That kind of love knows no end.

God has a deep love for you regardless of what you've done. Nothing can separate us from the love of God! When you begin to understand that love, the Bible says you'll be "made complete with the fullness of life and power that comes from God!"

May this understanding come upon you today. May God make you complete with the fullness of life and power that comes from Him, in Jesus name!

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
