For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
The name of Jesus is full of wonder! It carries within itself the ability to do the impossible. That name magnetizes wonders to itself because it is WONDERFUL. God wants us to live a life that causes people to wonder how it is we’re so healthy, prosperous and free. Once you trigger the name of Jesus, an explosion of wonder is set to happen in your life. There are too many believers ill informed as to what’s behind the name of Jesus, so they miss out! Once you understand the power within the name of Jesus, it can be properly activated by faith.
In Acts 19, the Bible talks about seven magicians who saw Paul do unusual miracles, “so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.” (Acts 19:12) These men saw the wonder that was in the name of Jesus. So, naturally, they tried to invoke that same power by using it! To their demise, those seven magicians got their butts whooped. Acts 19:15-16 says, “But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?” Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered.”
John 1:12-13 says, “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” When you accept Jesus Christ and BELIEVE Him you receive the right to become a child of GOD. Stop and re-read that last sentence. A dog gives birth to a dog and it has dog qualities. A whale gives birth to a whale and in it has whale abilities. When you become a child of God you are enabled, it is your RIGHT, to carry within yourself God characteristics. What cannot be said about God, cannot be said about you. What God has the capability of doing, YOU have the capability of doing.
You must first find out like you are right now, what belongs and is afforded to you as a child of the most High God. Wonders belong to you! The supernatural belongs to you. What’s impossible is possible with you! Simply say the name of Jesus! Remind yourself that Jesus is Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace!
